Carolyn Raymond, 62, of St. Paul, MN, died December 11, 2008 at Golden Living Center-Lake Ridge in Roseville, MN.

Memorial service will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, December 21, 2008 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Pastor Phil Schmidt officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Private interment will be in the Czech National Cemetery; Tabor, MN.

Carolyn Elsie Raymond was born April 13, 1946 in Grand Forks, ND to Morris and Pauline (Kopecky) Raymond. She is the oldest of three daughters who include Lois and Eloise. Carolyn attended Independent School District 174, Euclid grade school, and graduated from Crookston Central High School in 1964. Carolyn moved to St. Paul where she attended the University of Minnesota completing two and half years in the College of Liberal Arts, majoring in Mathematics. She then attended Control Data Institute receiving a Certificate in Computer Programming.

She began work in1967 for First Computer Corp as a computer programmer. She was promoted in 1974 to Programmer Analyst. In 1978 she began working for Farm Credit Services as a software/programmer/analyst II. In 1988 she was employed as a security analyst for Norwest Technical Services and in 1989 worked for Electronic Data Systems as a Systems Engineer. In 1991 Carolyn took a position with Carlson Marketing as a Computer Power Group Consultant. From 1992 until her death she worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis as a System Analyst.

Carolyn enjoyed her beautiful blue-eyed cats as well as training and showing her Sheltie dogs which won highest scoring dog at the trials many, many, times. She was a show secretary for the Lockland Shetland Sheepdog Kennel Club Dog Show. Carolyn also enjoyed spending time with family and working on the family genealogy.

Carolyn is survived by her two sisters, Lois Raymond and Eloise Raymond both of Thief River Falls, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
