Carolyn Robidoux, 73, died Monday, April 23, 2012 at Grand Itasca Hospital, Grand Rapids, MN. Funeral service will be 1:30 PM, Friday, April 27, 2012 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Thief River Falls, MN with Father Rick Lambert presiding. Burial will follow in St. Bernard's Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 PM, Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will also be for one hour prior to Mass on Friday at the church. Carolyn Marie Schwenn was born October 1, 1938 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Curtis and Marie (Moore) Schwenn. She received her education in Illinois and Salem, WI, where the family moved from Chicago. She was united in marriage to Wayne Lake in Wilmot, WI and they resided in Silver Lake, WI. She married Floyd Klopp, July 18, 1969 in Dubuque, IA. The couple resided in Fond Du Lac, WI and Thief River Falls, MN. Carolyn married Robert Robidoux in Sisseton, SD and later remarried in St. Bernard's Church, Thief River Falls. Carolyn was employed at Hanson's Boarding Home, Carol's Café, American Legion and Swede's Bar and Grill in the later years. She held membership in the Eagles Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary as well as Northwest Medical Auxiliary. She enjoyed working with crafts, but mostly enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by six children, Pamela (David) Gyger, Wilmot, WI, Sandra Sue (Kevin) Gerber, Silver Lake, WI, Russell Lake, Eagle Bend, WI, Christine (Lance) Figgins, Grand Rapids, MN, Heidi Sourdif, Roseau, MN and William "Bill" (Wendy) Klopp, Thief River Falls, MN; daughter in law: Barbara Lake, Burlington, WI, 12 grandchildren; four great grandchildren, one sister, Patricia (Bob) Evans, Antioch, IL, sister in law, Marlene Schwenn, Westfield, WI; and brother in law, Richard Nelson, Camp Lake, WI; several nieces and nephews. Carolyn is preceded in death by husband Robert Robidoux, son Charles Lake, her parents, three brothers, James (in infancy), Gerald, and Curtis, one sister Joan Nelson.
