Carolyn Sue Simmons passed away on December 22, 2020 at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM at Johnson Funeral service in Thief River Falls, MN.

Carolyn Sue Cutbirth was born on May 17, 1946 at Hartville, Missouri daughter of the late Omie and Ora (Stephenson) Cutbirth. She was raised and attended school there.

Carolyn was united in marriage to Ed Simmons at Hartville, Missouri. To this union 3 daughters were born Lenna, Rose and Betty Lou. She was a homemaker who enjoyed, playing guitar, singing, playing bingo, cooking, sewing, crocheting, drawing, and anything having to do with art.

She is survived by her daughters Lenna Sue Glenn of Springfield, Missouri, Rose Simmons of Grygla, MN and Betty Lou Wallace of Illinois; grandchildren Edward Carpo, Ashley Ingrahm, Rodney Ogden, Jody Ogden and Misty Liles; along with several great-grandchildren; one sister Betty Tooley of Hartville, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, husband. Great-grandson, siblings Gerald Dee, Alfred Lee, Bonnie Lou, Arvil Henry and Rose Jane.
