Carrie Sollom, 52, passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at her home in Eagan, MN. Memorial service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend John Golv officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, March 30, 2012 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with a 7:00 P.M. Prayer Service on Friday evening and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Carrie Louise Sollom was born October 1, 1959 at Camp Lejeune, NC along with her twin sister, Kathy, the daughter of Almond Hartford Sollom and Phyllis Elaine (Prestebak) Sollom. As a baby, Carrie was baptized in Vienna, VA and later confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls. She attended Lincoln High School graduating in 1978. Following high school, she attended college at Northland Community College, graduating with her AA Degree. After college Carrie worked for Northland Foods in Thief River Falls. In 1989, Carrie was united in marriage to Mike Noreen at Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls. They made their home in Thief River Falls. In 1997, she moved to the Twin Cities where she worked for Clark Consulting and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Carrie enjoyed working with and showing her Arabian horses. Golfing was a favorite pastime that she enjoyed with family and friends. In the summers Carrie and her family spent a lot of time at their lake home at Lake Julia near Bemidji. Carrie loved spending time with her nieces and nephews and also her great-nieces and great-nephews. Carrie is survived by her brothers and sisters, Bob (Cathy) Sollom of Stafford, VA, Don (Geri) Sollom of Thief River Falls, Tobey (Jerry) Myers of Thief River Falls, MN, Kathy (Daryl) Myers of Richland, WA; aunt and uncle, Bob (Arlene) Prestebak of Thief River Falls, MN; nieces and nephews, Hugh (Maureen) Sollom of Fort Bragg, NC, Claire (Brian) Farrell of Lino Lakes, MN, Phil (Karin) Sollom of Duluth, MN, Meg (Chris) Hastings of Eagan, MN, Lydya (Fredy) Esquivel of Djibouti, Africa, Lisa (Marty) Samanko of Thief River Falls, MN, Michael (Theresa) Howe of Otter Tail, MN, Erica (Greg) Emmans of Burnsville, MN, Matt Myers of Thief River Falls, Ben (Jenny) Myers of Thief River Falls, MN, Lindsay (Shane) Morinville of Meridian, ID, Kayla (Nick) DeBusk of Spokane, WA; step-daughter, Kayla (Ryan) Bruggeman of Thief River Falls, MN; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Al and Phyllis; grandparents, Ole and Lou Prestebak and Alfred and Olivia Sollom.
