Cecelia Klipping, of Red Lake Falls, MN passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017 at Riverview Hospital in Crookston, MN with her loving family by her side.
Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls with Father John Christianson Officiating and Deacon John Bruggeman.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, 5 – 8 PM with a prayer service at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 7:00 PM and also one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Cecelia "Cis" Lucette Klipping was born Oct. 7, 1947 at Crookston, MN daughter of John and Lucille (Sewill) Pahlen. She attended Crookston High School graduating in 1965.
On July 6, 1968 she was united in marriage to Arthur Klipping at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Euclid, MN. The couple made their home in Red Lake Falls where they raised their two children Darin and Joel. Cis worked as a CNA at St. Francis Hospital, was EMT on the Red Lake Falls Ambulance and Bookkeeper with Hal's Auto and worked as Para at J.A. Hughes Elementary.
Cis enjoyed fishing, painting, knitting, sewing, decorating, traveling, spending time with family and friends. She loved her summers at Lake of the Woods and Florida in the winter. She loved every moment spent with her grandkids and great-grandchild.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years Art of Red Lake Falls, MN; son Joel (Tanya) Klipping of St. Hilaire, MN; grandchildren Haley, Austin, Brianna, Madison, Nick, Kevin and Meah; one great-granddaughter Payten: siblings Randy (Jeanine) Pahlen, sister-in-law Bonnie Pahlen, Glenn Pahlen, Frank (Bonnie) Pahlen, sister-in-law Renae (Steve) Philipp, Laura (Curt) Beyer, Linda (Keith Fuller) Hanson, Val (Darin) Myhre all of Red Lake Falls; brother-in-law Richard (Ernestine) Klipping and Harvey Klipping, sister-in-law Grace (Laddie) Hauglid along with many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Special friends: Sara Bekkedahl and Tammy Dejno.
Cis is preceded in death by her son Darin Klipping, parents John and Lucille Pahlen, brothers Theodore, Donald, Timothy and Gary. Brother-in-law Delbert Schultz, Mother and Father-in-law Mildred and Eldon Klipping; sister-in-law Joan Klipping; brother-in-law Henry Klipping; along with many other relatives.
