Chester Schear, 69, died on Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.
Chester Duane Schear was born on August 26, 1935 in Red Lake County, Minnesota, the son of Adam and Myrtle (Schultz) Schear. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls and attended Country School and Mentor School.
Chester was united in marriage to Anna Farden on March 2, 1957 at St. John Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls.
Chet farmed and worked for Crookston Milling, Detroiter in Red Lake Falls and in January of 1968 he started driving semi for Wilson Tice of Mentor. In 1974 Chet became owner/operator of his own business until his time of death.
He loved spending time with Ann at home and his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were a big part of Chets life. He enjoyed cutting his CRP and riding his 4-wheeler.
He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, past trustee of Faith Lutheran Church, treasurer of First English Lutheran Cemetery and Township officer for 18 years.
Chester is survived by his wife, Ann, of Mentor, MN; two children: Brenda (Steve) Peterson of Mentor, MN and Robert (Cindy) Schear of Crookston, MN; six grandchildren: Traci Peterson (Fiance, Mike), Tiffany Peterson (special friend, Lonny), Samantha, Ryan, Whitney and Hope Schear; three great grandchildren: Michaela, David and Steven; brother, Marvin (Darlene) Schear of Mentor, MN; sister-in-law, Betty Schear of Erskine, MN; brothers-in-law, Art Olson of Mentor, MN and Dale (Diana) Erickson of Fertile, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Debra Schear in 1972; brothers, Glen Schear and Laurel Schear; sisters: Evelyn Olson and Lois Erickson.
