Christina Anenson, 88, died Thursday, May 17, 2007 at Lovelace Hospice Hospital, Albuquerque, NM.

Funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at Telemarken Lutheran Church, rural Goodridge, MN, with Reverend Raynard Huglen officiating. Burial will be at Telemarken Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5 " 8 PM, Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN, with a 7 PM prayer service and for one hour prior to service on Wednesday at the church.

Christina Ovedia Lerol was born December 18, 1918 in Silverton Township, Pennington County, MN, the daughter of Ole and Olga (Strand) Lerol. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls, MN. Her confirmation hymn was "Holy, Holy, Holy." Christina grew up in Thief River Falls, where she attended Lincoln High School.

On September 30, 1937, Christina was united in marriage to Henry Anenson in Red Lake Falls, MN. The couple farmed in Kratka Township. In her later years, Christina worked at Land O' Lakes turkey plant, Thief River Falls and also worked as a nurse's aid at Oakland Park Nursing Home in Thief River Falls. She traveled around and stayed with each of the children.

Christina was a member of Telemarken Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School for 22 years, and was a member of the Ladies Aid. She also was a member of the Happy Seniors Band, a life member of Sons of Norway, a member of Thief River Falls American Legion Auxiliary, Eagles Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, Rebecca's Lodge and Moccasin Garden Club of Goodridge. She liked playing cards, crocheting and bingo.

She is survived by 9 children: Orlene (John) Marchal, Milton, FL, Robert (Jane) Anenson, Mounds View, MN, Larry (Sandy) Anenson, Thief River Falls, MN, Vernon (Patricia) Anenson, Thief River Falls, MN, Barbara Manson, Rosemont, MN, Burnell (Stephen) Rennings, Tucson, AZ, Brenda (Bob) Gulbranson, Alberquerque, NM, Arlis (Ron) Proulx, East Grand Forks, MN and Christy (Fredd) Mendoza, Chicago, IL; 106 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; 6 siblings: Beulah (Frank) Weiss, Roseville, MN, Kenneth (Judy) Lerol, Gilbert, MN, Eileen Cole, Sherwood, OR, Merna "June" Zakrzewski, St. Paul, MN, Orlin (Yvonne) Lerol, Thief River Falls, MN, Geraldine McCoy, Willington, MO.

Christina is preceded in death by husband, Henry on October 27, 1992; a daughter, Mavis Pickler; a grandson, Tim Walker; parents Ole and Olga Lerol; sister, Merna Lerol; brother, Marvin Lerol; 2 sons-in-law, Robert Walker and Robert Mathiason.
