Christopher Hoglin, 48 of Newfolden, MN passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at his residence.
The service to celebrate Chris's life will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at River of Life Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Pastor Timothy Self officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service on Friday, March 25, 2022 at River of Life Church in Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Christopher Orrin Hoglin was born August 8, 1973 in Hallock, MN the son of David J. and Dianne L. (Gran) Hoglin. He attended Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls graduating with the class of 1992. Chris then went on to attend the Northland Community & Technical College in Thief River Falls.
He served honorably with the Army National Guard from 1994 until 2002.
Chris was united in marriage to Tracy Olson and together they were proud parents of three children, Isaiah, Gabrielle and Lillian. They later divorced.
Chris began his career as a law enforcement officer with the Roseau Police Department and later with the Thief River Falls Police Department. In 2015, he started working at Digi-Key in Thief River Falls and worked for Northwest Electric at that time.
While working at Digi-Key, Chris met the love of his life, Tara Georgeson and they have been inseparable ever since. They enjoyed life together and he was a wonderful father figure to her three children, Kaia, Gretchen and Anya.
Chris was an avid fisherman, enjoyed hunting, camping, spending time outdoors, trying different restaurants, dining outdoors and especially enjoyed time with his family and friends.

Survivors include the love of his life, Tara Georgeson; Chris's children, Isaiah, Gabrielle and Lillian; Tara's children, Kaia, Gretchen and Anya; parents, David and Dianne Hoglin; brother, Michael Hoglin; niece, Jordyne Hoglin; uncle, Daniel Hoglin; aunt, Corrine (Arthur) Lund; and many other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mabel & Orrin Gran and John & Loyce Hoglin.
