Clara Emelia Craft was born on December 12, 1907 in Gervais Township, Red Lake County, Minnesota, the daughter of Erick and Kristina Craft. She was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith and attended Country School.

Clara was united in marriage to Sivert Mickelson on March 11, 1934 at Oklee, MN. The couple made their home and raised their family near Plummer, MN. Clara loved being a homemaker and mother. In the late 1970s they moved to rural Thief River Falls, where they lived on the same farm as their daughter. In 1985 they moved to North LaBree Ave. in Thief River Falls. She enjoyed embroidering, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Clara is survived by two children: Gloria (Lester) Larson and Clarus June (Donald) Lokken of Thief River Falls, MN; five grandchildren: Curtis (Margie) Larson of Warroad, MN, Coreen (Paul) Erickson of Thief River Falls, MN, Chris Larson of Horace, ND, Dean Lokken of Virginia, MN and Karla Purdy of Eden Prairie, MN; nine great grandchildren: Shane (Rachael) Larson, Nikole (Paul) Baumgartner, Justine, Lorie, David and McKayla Erickson, Mitchell and Trenton Purdy and Devon Lokken; one sister, Nora Seibel of Big Fork, MN; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sivert in 1985; granddaughter, Baby Girl Larson; her parents; brothers and sisters: Ernest, Harry, Archie, George, Oscar, Gust, and Clarence Craft, Myrtle Patnode, Lily Christopherson, Mabel VanDuesen.
