Clarice Asselin Amberson passed away Sunday, August 22, 2004 at Villa St. Vincent Nursing Home, Crookston, MN, at the age of 92.
Clarice Marie Deschene was born June 13, 1912 in Argyle, MN, the daughter of Alphonse and Anna (Rochfort) Deschene. She attended Robertson School.
On November 18, 1941, Clarice was united in marriage to Homer Asselin in Oklee, MN, where they made their home. Homer died August 12, 1981. Clarice remarried September 8, 1988 to Selmer Arnold Amberson of Gully, MN. They made their home in Oklee, MN. Selmer passed away July 8, 1992.
Clarice was a member of St. Francis Xavier Ladies Guild and St. Annes Society. She also worked for a time in custodials at Oklee School.
Left to mourn her passing are seven children, Stella (Dwight) Howard, Inver Grove Heights, MN, Rosella Pietruszewski, Argyle, MN, Phyllis Sulerud, Crookston, MN, Cecilia Finseth, Fosston, MN, Bernard (Pam) Asselin, Oklee, MN, Bernadette Hagl, Thief River Falls, MN and Duane (Pat) Asselin, Oklee, MN. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Leah Pagnac, Argyle, MN and Louella Carrigan, White Bear Lake, MN; 3 brothers, Omer (Helen) Deschene, Stephen, MN, Charles Deschene, Mankato, MN and Harvey Deschene, Argyle, MN and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by husbands, Homer Asselin and Selmer Arnold Amberson, son, Roland, 3 sisters, Pauline Pagnac, Josephine Deschene and Mary Pagnac; 5 brothers, Ernest, Leo, Clarence, Edward and Ole.
