CLAUDEA RECK OBITUARY

Claudea Pearl Reck was born on May 14, 1957 to Myron "Dick" and Grace (Burt) Reck. Claudea had five siblings to play with growing up on the family farm just north of Mentor, MN in Terrebonne township. Claudea was the 5 ^th child and her siblings included: Milton, Mayo, Milo, Georgene and Michelle "Shelly". Claudea peacefully passed away on March 13 ^th , 2022 at Pioneer Memorial Care Center, Erskine, MN.

Claudea attended Mentor Public School for her K-12 years and continued her education at North Dakota State University (NDSU) in Fargo, ND. There she received her Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising in 1980. While in college she was active in campus activities and was a fraternity "Little Sister". She loved being a Bison. GO BISON!! After her college graduation, she entered her field as a buyer for JCPenney in Fargo. The position provided her many great buying trips to New York City. On one trip she even had the pleasure of dining with fashion designer Oscar de la Renta. That was a highlight of her career!

Claudea's hobbies were fashion, baking, sewing, football, football and more football. And making the best home-made fudge ever! Which she made almost every Sunday growing up so her family could enjoy it. Claudea's happy disposition and smile made her a joy to be around.

Claudea is survived by her mother Grace Reck, brothers Milton Reck, Mayo (Diane) Reck, Milo (Marilee) Reck, sister Shelly (Tim) Richard, many nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her father Myron Reck, sister Georgene Corbett, brother-in-law Douglas Corbett, sister-in-law Susan Reck.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 19 at the Johnson Funeral Service, Red Lake Falls with Timothy Denney Officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Oak Grove Cemetery, Red Lake Falls, MN.
