Clifford Jorland, 88, died Thursday, October 25, 2007 at Thief River Care Center, Thief River Falls, MN.


Memorial service will be 2 PM, Monday, October 29, 2007 at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend Nancy Hanson officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, Monday.

Joseph Clifford Jorland was born May 22, 1919 in Holt Township, Marshall County, MN, the third child of Joe and Anna Jorland. He attended Ringbo Elementary School and Holt High School.

On September 21, 1946, Clifford married Hazel Lunke in Holt, MN. They took over the family farm in the late 1940s and lived, farmed and raised their family in the Ringbo community. In addition to farming, Clifford trucked cattle and at various times, worked for Land O Lakes and Arctic Cat.

He is survived by daughters: Barbara (Gordon) Overland, Sturgeon Lake, MN and Linda Ahrndt, Leavenworth, KS; sons, Joe (Beverly) Jorland, Laporte, MN, Steve Jorland, Middle River, MN, Olaf Jorland and Gary Jorland both of Hallock, MN; grandchildren, Marie, Jackie and Bob; great grandchildren, Jamie and Andi; sister, Grace Juraska; along with many nieces and nephews.

Clifford is preceded in death by wife, Hazel on September 19, 2006, parents and a brother, Page.
