Clifford Lindholm, 86, died on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Riverview Nursing Home in Crookston, MN. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 14, 2012 at the First Assembly of God Church, 605 3rd Ave. NE, Crookston, MN with Reverend Bill Humiston officiating. Burial will be held in the Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls, MN Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will also be held from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday at the church in Crookston. Clifford Everett Lindholm was born on December 7, 1925 at Fort Francis, Ontario, Canada son of the late Victor and Anna (Gabrielson) Lindholm. He was raised in Fort Francis where he attended Robert Moore School. He married Laura (Hausman) Lindholm and to this union three children were born, Jean, Kenneth and Raymond. In 1953 he moved to the United States and on 1958 he became a United Stated citizen. On September 7, 1968 he was united in marriage to Ilene Kruchowski in Fosston, MN. The couple lived 2 years in the Brooks area before moving to Cloquet, MN where Clifford was a Union Asbestos Construction worker from 1966 until his retirement in 1980. In September of 2008 they moved to Crookston, MN, and since May of 2012, he has resided at the Riverview Nursing Home in Crookston. Clifford was baptized in March of 2000 at Cloquet Gospel Tabernacle, Cloquet, MN. In his younger years, Clifford enjoyed playing the guitar, he enjoyed woodwork projects in in his garage, traveling, and visiting with family and friends. He was a member of the Local 49er Union and the First Assembly of God Church in Crookston. Clifford is survived by his wife of 44 years, Ilene Lindholm, of Crookston, MN; children Kenneth Lindholm of Rocky Ford, CO, David (Linda) Fimrite of St. Cloud, MN, Karen (David) Rock of Mentor, MN, Duane McMahon of Eagan, MN, Brian (Bridget) Kruchowski of St. Paul, MN, Michael (Jeanne) Kruchowski of Cloquet, MN, Patrick Kruchowski of Brooks, MN and Keith (Mona) Lindholm of Plattville, WI; 39 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren; brothers Robert (Isabelle) Lindholm of Cloquet, MN and "Bruno" Victor (Mary) Lindholm at Fort Francis, Ontario, CA; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Jeanne and son Raymond; brothers Curt, Rueben, Gustav, Ralph, Marvin and Bert.
