MIDDLE RIVER, MN
Cody Brandon, 17, died Sunday, August 11, 2002 at Merit Care Hospital, Fargo, ND.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 15, 2002, at the Middle River School, Middle River, MN, with Reverend Sandra Hollands and Father Don Brockman officiating. Burial will be at the Thief Lake Cemetery, Thief Lake Township, Marshall County, MN.

Visitation will be 4 " 8 PM, Wednesday, August 14, 2002 at the Johnson-Green Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN, with a 7 PM prayer service and for one hour prior to services at the school on Thursday.

Cody Harold Merton Brandon was born September 20, 1984, the son of Scott and Cindy (Hutchinson) Brandon in Thief River Falls, MN. He was baptized October 1984 and confirmed October 2000 at Our Saviours Church at Thief Lake, MN. He grew up and attended school in Middle River and Greenbush, MN, where he would have been a senior. He worked at Fleet Supply in Thief River Falls.

Cody enjoyed hunting, loved fishing and camping. He was an avid writer, writing for newspapers in the area since he was 14 years old. He helped neighbors in the area as well. He was elected 2 times by his teachers for Whos Who . Cody was a storm chaser, looking for tornados, loved animals, loved his 2 nieces and nephew. He was very kind with a smile always on his face.

Survivors include parents, Scott and Cindy Brandon, Middle River, MN; brothers and sisters, Jamey (fianc, Heather), Greenbush, MN, Tony (Elizabeth), Wannaska, MN, Michael (friend, Megan), Greenbush, MN, Leslie (David) Sondreal, Grand Forks, ND and LeAnn (Brant) Hagen, Kindred, ND; 2 nieces, Grace and Piper; nephew, Austin; grandparents, Harold and Jean Brandon, Middle River, MN and Merton Hutchinson, Thief River Falls, MN; great grandparents, Carl Burrell, Thief River Falls, MN and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceded in death by grandmother, Juanita Hutchinson and uncle, Mark Halvorson.
