Constance D'Costa Sabiniano, 82, died on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at her home in Thief River Falls, MN with her loving children by her side.
A Memorial Mass for Constance will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, June 26, 2020 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN, with Father Rick Lambert and Father JohnMelkies Suvakeen presiding. Interment will take place next to her husband in the Philippines.
Visitation will take place one hour prior to the mass at the church on Friday.
Constance D'Costa Sabiniano was born on April 1, 1938 in Chittagong, Bangladesh, the daughter of Aloysius and Kathleen (Gonsalves) D'Costa. She attended school at St. Scholastica's Convent Orphanage. She started her career as a Registered Nurse at the Holy Family Hospital in Bangladesh.
After moving to America to be with her children, Constance worked at Franklin Middle School and Lincoln High School in Food Service prepping food for the students. She was also a "Foster" Grandparent for Challenger Elementary School.
Constance liked to cook, tend to her flower gardens, and enjoyed watching TV & movies. She loved to socialize and entertain people and Family harmony was most important to her. She also loved dogs, especially her dog, Freedom.
She is survived by her three children, Jose D. Sabiniano, Stella Ashman, and Amelia (Hazem) Sedra; sisters, Yvonne Johnson and Bertha (Errol) Robertson; grandchildren, Erin and Rhett Sedra; step-grandchildren, Danielle (Cody) Smith and Cody Ashman; step-children and step-grandchildren in the Philippines; niece, Christine (Ken) Barnes & their children; niece, Paula (Sean) Defendi & their children; nephew, Andrea (Cissy) Robertson & their children.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jacinto D. Sabiniano; parents, Aloysius & Kathleen D'Costa; sister, Daphne D'Costa, and niece, Linda Robertson.
