Cora Olson, 98, died Saturday, December 14, 2002 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN from complications of a stroke.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 18, 2002, at Faith Lutheran Church, Goodridge, MN with Rev. Robert Dahlin officiating. Burial will be in the Rosendahl Cemetery, Rural Goodridge, MN.

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday, December 17, 2002 at the Johnson-Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls, MN and on Wednesday one hour prior to the service in the church.

Cora Alvina Olson was born on October 7, 1904 in Espelie Township, Marshall County, MN, the daughter of Oscar and Tilda (Peterson) Olson. She was baptized as an infant and confirmed in Rosendahl Lutheran Church. Cora attended rural school in Espelie Township and graduated from Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls in 1926.

Cora lived on the family farm and enjoyed gardening, flowers and working with all the farm animals.

In 1994 Cora moved to Edina living with her cousin John Peterson and his wife, Nathalie. John Peterson died in November 1999 and Cora continued living with Johns widow Nathalie until her death. Nathalie was Coras caregiver for 8 ½ years.

Survivors include several cousins and her caregiver, Nathalie Peterson of Coon Rapids, MN.

Cora was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Norance, Edward, Helmer, and Clarence Olson.

Memorials are preferred to Faith Lutheran Church in Goodridge.
