Cora Olstad, 93, died on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Fairview Northland Medical Center in Princeton, MN.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Grygla, MN with Pastor Mary Gilthvedt and Pastor Jay Borchert officiating. Burial will be at Our Saviors Lutheran Cemetery, Grygla, MN.

Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, August 15, 2007 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with a 6:00 P.M. Prayer Service. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the church.

Cora Aaserud was born on November 6, 1914 in Esmond, ND, the daughter of Christian and Marie (Martinson) Aaserud. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and attended Country School, rural Grygla, MN. Cora was united in marriage to Olaf Olstad on March 14, 1936. Cora enjoyed being a Homemaker and loved being with her family, playing games and taking vacation trips. She also enjoyed crocheting, reading and visiting with friends and neighbors. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Ladies Aid at Our Saviors Lutheran Church and the Sons of Norway.

Cora is survived by her children: Marian Schroeder, Olive (Tom) Pinske, Curtis (Catherine) Olstad, Sharon(Arlen) Ellingson and Janet (Tom) Kostick; grandchildren: Diane (Bruce) Solberg, Lisa Williams, Juli (Dave Lang) Schoenrock, Kristi Anderson, Laura (Jim) Sundell, Audra (Brad) Etzel, Anna (Trevor) Palmer, Jill (Lyle) Barfknecht, Suzanne (Jim) Jaworski, Kurt (Geri) Schroeder, Troy Schroeder, Kent Harmer, Kyle (Dusty) Harmer, Curtis (Tammi) Olstad, Jr., Jeffrey (Tina Durant) Ellingson, Jared (Tamara) Ellingson, Josef (Renee) Kostick, Barre Pinske and Jodi (Dave) Swaja, and Dave Pachmayer; 36 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sally Olstad and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Olaf; her parents; sister, Martha Hagen; infant son; great granddaughter, Amy; and great grandson, Douglas.
