Cora Rue, 89, died on Sunday, May 24, 2009 at Thief River Care Center in Thief River Falls, MN.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Pastor Joseph Abrahamson officiating. Burial will follow in St. Petri Cemetery, Grygla, MN.

Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday.

Coara Rue was born on September 4, 1919 near Grygla, MN the daughter of Simon T. and Clara (Thorson) Rue. In her younger years, she worked at several places around the area. After that she moved home with her brother Ernest and sister Selma helped on the home place.

Cora enjoyed gardening and grew a large garden. She also liked to crochet.

Cora is survived by her two sisters in law Hilda Rue, Thief River Falls, MN and Evelyn Rue, Hillsboro, ND along with several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Helmer, Carl, Ernest, Hulda, and Selma, brother in law Adolph Christianson.
