Corene Adele Bottem was born March 12, 1938 at Holt, MN daughter of Melvin and Mildred (Hall) Bottem. She was raised in the Rosewood area and attended the Rosebank Country School. She also attended Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls, She was united in marriage to Erwin Swede Olson on July 20, 1955 in Rosewood. To this union five children were born. The couple made their home in Thief River Falls where they owned and operated Swedes Grocery Store for 19 years. She also worked for Lon Goebels Catering for a couple of years at Northland College, and cooked at the Evergreen Eating Emporium in Thief River Falls until her health declined. On March 17, 1988 she was united in marriage to Lowell M. Naeseth at Thief River Falls. The couple continued to live in Thief River Falls.

Corene enjoyed cooking and baking, fishing, hunting, camping and traveling.

She is survived by her husband Lowell Naeseth of Thief River Falls, MN; children Lynell (Ronald) Omlid of Thief River Falls, Brian (Sharon) Olson of Thief River Falls, Laurel Muetzel of Bemidji, MN, Lorna (Jeffrey) Olson of Thief River Falls, Brenda Olson (Mike Binion) of Thief River Falls, Valerie Naeseth of Middle River, MN and Randy (Cari) Naeseth of Valley City, ND. Grandchildren Jeremy, Jan, Jason, Amber, Ryan, Kelly, Cory, Shannon, Shelly, Daniel, Jared, Jessica, Jennifer, Eugene Jr., Derek, Camille, Missy, Brandon and Colin. Great-grandchildren Adele, Taylar, Gage, Kohl and Tanner. One brother Curtis (Opal) Bottem of Grygla, MN. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Culver Bottem, Husband Erwin A. (Swede) Olson, son in law Duane J. Olson, and one grandson.

Corene Naeseth died on Saturday, July 19, 2003, in her home in Thief River Falls, MN at the age of 65 years, 4 months, and 7 days. May her memory be blessed.
