Curtis Dean Foss, 53, of Red Crest Island, MN, died October 7, 2015 in International Falls, MN. Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in International Falls, MN, on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 2:00 p.m., with Brother Tim Smith officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior. Interment will follow the funeral service at Bethesda Lutheran Cemetery in Skime, MN. Curtis was born to parents, Ell-Kay and June (Webber) Foss on October 10, 1961 in St. Paul, MN where he grew up before moving to Skime, MN in 1972. He attended school in Grygla, MN and graduated from High School in 1980. He then lived in Roseau, Mn, and moved to International Falls in the early 1980's. He was a carpenter, logger, and also worked for Boise Cascade as an equipment operator. Curtis loved hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, spending time at his cabin on the lake, and anything outdoors. He enjoyed researching family genealogy, visiting with family and friends, sharing his faith, and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in International Falls. Curtis is survived by his parents; two sisters, Christina (Donovan) Hetteen, and Clarissa (Carl) Nelson, both of Skime; two nieces, Emily (Nate) Stevenson, Grace Nelson (fiancé, Garnell Petrowski); nephews, Alex Hetteen (friend, Jill Tangen), Devon Hetteen (friend, Chelsey Froseth); and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
