Cynthia (Wegge) Soland, Rockford, MN formerly of Holt, MN age 62, died on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Oakland Park Communities with her loving family at her side. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the Nazareth Lutheran Church in Holt, MN with Pastor Del Moen officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the memorial service at the church. Cynthia Helene Wegge was born on April 22, 1950 in Thief River Falls, MN the daughter of George and Clara (Thoreson) Wegge. She was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith in Holt, MN and attended elementary school in Holt and graduated from Newfolden High School in 1968. She moved to Minneapolis, MN and worked as a courier at the Northwestern Bank for a few years. In 1981, Cynthia was united in marriage to Marvin Soland and the couple made their home in Rockford, MN. To this union two children were born, Jamie and Chelsea. Cynthia was a stay at home mom while her children were growing and then went to work at a day care center in Rockford. She also was a personal care attendant for the handicapped children in the Rockford School District. In 1997, Cynthia returned to school at Hennepin Technical College and earned a degree in Graphic and Web Design. She continued to work as a personal care attendant for many years. Cynthia enjoyed crafting, making jewelry, taking pictures and working with them, and was very family oriented. She always made Christmas a priority time with her family. Cynthia's grandchildren were her pride and joy. Survivors include her husband, Marvin of Rockford, MN; children, Jamie Soland of Watertown, MN and Chelsea (Jeff Gackstetter) Soland of Rockford, MN; mother, Clara Wegge of Holt, MN; siblings, Debbie Willert of Miller, SD, Bobbi Anderson of Thief River Falls, MN, Dean Wegge of Owatonna, MN and Jenny Wegge of Vallejo, CA; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, George Wegge in 2002; and brother-in-law, Ken Willert.
