Daniel Austad, 66, died Monday, January 24, 2005 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 26, 2004 at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, St. Hilaire, MN

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at Johnson Funeral Service on Wednesday.

Daniel Dennis Austad was born December 8, 1938 at Thief River Falls, MN, the son of Iver and Dena (Olson) Austad. He was baptized and confirmed at Assembly of God Church, Thief River Falls. He grew up and attended school in Thief River Falls.

In 1975, Daniel was united in marriage to Shirley Rundell. He was employed a welder at Arctic Cat for a short period of time.

Daniel loved his cars, going to horse shows and driving out to North Dakota to visit his sister. He lived with his mother until she entered the nursing home.

Survived by son, Steven G. Anderson, St. Peter, MN; 6 sisters, Barbara (Oral) Ranum, Stanley, ND, Sylvia (Ray) Ranum, Maplewood, MN, Irene (Dick) Place, Carson City, NV, Mildred Austad, Moorhead, MN, Dagne Frederiksen, Spring Lake Park, MN and Ginnie (Ernest) Wappula, Hugo, MN

Preceded in death by parents, sister, Agnes Dazell, brothers, Allan, Donald, Raymond and Harold.
