DaniLe Dee Miramontes-Johnson, 59, died Sunday, November 28, 2010 at home in Viking, MN.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 6, 2010 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN. Burial will be held at St. Bernards Cemetery in Thief River Falls.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Sunday, December 5, 2010 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN.

DaniLe Bonita Miramontes was born on February 27, 1951 in Crookston, MN the daughter of Bennie and DoLores (Hellum) Miramontes. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Bernards Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN. Dee attended St. Bernards School and Lincoln High School graduating in 1969.

She attended the Cosmetology program through Northland Community and Technical College. Dee went to work at Sheilas Caf in Thief River Falls and then set up His & Hers Clip & Curl out of her home in Viking which she ran for a few years.

She was united in marriage to Donald Johnson, to this union a son, Chad was born. In 1977 Dee was blessed with her second son, Shawn.

In the mid-1980s, Dee then returned to Northland Community and Technical College where she enrolled in the medical secretary and medical transcription program. She then went to work for the Heatons at their Antique Shop for a few years. Then due to her deteriorating health, Dee was unable to work.

Dee was an animal lover, doll collector and enjoyed visiting with her friends and family.

Survivors include her two sons, Chad Miramontes-Johnson and Shawn Miramontes; grandchildren, Benita Skye Miramontes, Emeilia Haze Miramontes and Katie Rose Miramontes; brothers and sisters, Vince (Cathy) Miramontes, Paul (special friend, Jill Frye) Miramontes, Monica Phelps and Anita Miramontes; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Ben and Paula Miramontes, John and Clara Hellum; brother, Monti; nephew, Adam Miramontes; and great-nephew, Adam Lane; and many aunts and uncles.
