Darlene Kezar of Thief River Falls, MN, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND, surrounded by her family. A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Friday, January 16, 2015, at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls. Burial will follow at the Viking Cemetery, Viking, MN. Darlene Ellen Anderson was born on October 24, 1957 in Minneapolis, MN the daughter of Harvey and Ellen (Marfut) Anderson. She was baptized at home into the Lutheran faith and confirmed in McIntosh, MN. Darlene attended school in McIntosh and Northland Technical College in Thief River Falls, MN where she earned a degree in art. On November 13, 1979 Darlene was united in marriage to Donald Kezar in Warren, MN and the couple made their home near Viking, MN. Darlene was a homemaker. She enjoyed many hobbies including art, fishing, auction sales, sewing, puzzles and especially enjoyed the great outdoors. Survivors include her husband Donald; sons, Dominic (Luella) Solberg and Dwight Kezar all of Thief River Falls, MN; step-children, Carl Kezar of Brainerd, MN and Dorothy Gual of Shoreview, MN; grandchildren, Steven Solberg, Tina (Jesse) Hawk, Danny Kezar and Kevin Galizia; great-grandchildren, Allie Hawk and Pheobe Hawk Alayna Kezar, Daulton Kezar Aakre, and Daniel Kezar; mother, Ellen Marfut of Des Moines, IA; siblings, Pam (Gerry) Wales, Ed (Laura) Marfut, Letty (Mark) Bradford, Belle (Jeff) Bradford, Patty (Steve) Wasley, Harvey (Keeley) Anderson, Marty Anderson, Terry (fiancé Shannon) Marfut; and numerous nieces and nephews.
