Darlene Peters, 36, died on Friday, December 8, 2006 at her home in Oklee, MN.


Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 15, 2006 at Zion Lutheran Church in Oklee, MN with Reverend Robert Paulson officiating. Burial will be in the Viking Cemetery, Viking, MN.

Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 14, 2006 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN and from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Zion Lutheran Church in Oklee, MN with a 7:00 P.M. Prayer service on Thursday evening at the church and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.

Darlene Millie Bath was born on January 17, 1970 in Crosby, MN, the daughter of Albert and Bonnie Bath. Darlene was baptized into the Lutheran faith in Grand Marais, MN. The family moved on to Crookston, MN where Darlene met and married Michael Finn in the summer of 1994. Together the couple moved to Winger, MN, and had two children Sylvia and Michael. Darlene worked at Arctic Cat in Thief River Falls for 9 years.

In 1996 Darlene moved to Thief River Falls, MN and on Sept 19, 1998 she married Keith Peters in Oklee, MN. Darlene and Keith made their home in Oklee, MN and together the couple had one daughter Bree. For the last 8 years, Darlene has worked at Oakland Park Nursing Home in Thief River Falls. In 2000 the family enjoyed a trip to Orlando, FL.

She enjoyed playing Board Games, playing cards and loved the outdoors, especially camping and fishing. Darlene was a very outgoing and happy person and tried very hard to keep with her family. She was a very devoted mother and wife.

Darlene was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Oklee.

Darlene is survived by her two children: Sylvia Finn and Michael Finn of Oklee, MN; her mother, Bonnie Julkowski of Fargo, ND; her father Albert Bath; one brother, Albert (Cyd) Bath of Grand Forks, ND; two half sisters, Sarah Bath and fianc Brett Besette of Tower City, ND and Shannon (Nathan) Erickson of Page, ND; half brother, Joshua Bath and fianc, Tabitha OConner of Tennessee; step brother, Jacob Elness and Fianc, Brittney Reynolds of Fargo, ND; two step sisters, Tiffany Elness of Duluth, MN and Jesicah Julkowski of Brainerd, MN; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Donald and Anne Christianson.
