Darlene Schear, 68, died Tuesday, March 20, 2012 in Fargo, ND. Visitation will be 4-7 PM with a 7:00 PM service on Sunday March 25, 2012 at Johnson Funeral Service, Red Lake Falls, MN, with Vicar John Bumgardner officiating. Burial will be held at the Rosehill Cemetery near Mentor, MN. Darlene Ruth Farden was born February 4, 1944 at Crookston, MN, the youngest of eight children born to Erwin and Frances (Trask) Farden. Darlene was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith. She attended Mentor High School graduating in 1962. Following school, she began employment at Woolworths in Crookston. On January 22, 1966, Darlene was united in marriage to Marvin Schear at St. John's Lutheran Church, Red Lake Fall, MN. They made their home on a farm in Lake Pleasant Township, where they ran a small grain farm. Darlene stayed home to help on the farm and raise their two sons, Mark and Bradley. Darlene enjoyed working with her flower and vegetable garden, working in the yard, fishing in the summer and bird watching. But mostly she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Red Lake Falls, MN. Darlene served on the Rosehill Cemetery Board; she took a lot of pride in the care of the cemetery. Darlene is survived by her husband of 46 years, Marvin Schear of Mentor, MN; sons Mark and Bradley Schear both of Mentor, MN; brothers and sisters: Gordon (Marilyn) Farden, Dayton, MN, Barbara (Duane) Myhre, Brooks, MN, Ann Schear(special friend Dan Walden), Erskine, MN and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by parents, Erwin and Frances; sisters: Betty Schear and Beverly Lindsey, brothers: Richard and Bernard Farden; brothers-in-law, Chester Schear and Laurel Schear; sister-in-law, Marie Farden.
