Darlene Winslow, 74, of Plummer, MN passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at her residence.

Service to celebrate Darlene's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 30, 2024 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend Jonathan Dodson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at Emardville Cemetery, rural Plummer, MN.

Darlene Bernice Prahl was born on May 17, 1950 in Grand Rapids, MN to Norman and Clella Prahl. She was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids, MN. Darlene attended school in Grand Rapids, MN, graduating with the class of 1968.

Darlene moved to Minneapolis, MN after graduation where she met her husband, Bruce Winslow. The couple was married on August 28, 1971 in Minneapolis. To this union three children were born, Tonnie, Christopher, and Kimberly.

The family moved to Plummer, MN where they have continued to reside. Darlene worked as an LPN at C & C Unit of Northwest Medical Center, Hillcrest Senior Living and Valley Home, where she retired.

Darlene enjoyed gardening, sewing, watching old movies, baking, reading, and most of all, spending time with her grandson, Hunter.

Darlene is survived by her children, Kimberly Winslow of Red Lake Falls, and Christopher Winslow of Plummer; grandson, Hunter Grembowski of Red Lake Falls; 5 brothers and sisters; and many other relatives and friends.

Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce; daughter Tonnie; her parents Norman and Clella; sister Vicky; and many other relatives.
