David Bushie, 66 died on February 26, 2010 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Pastor Sheila Michaels officiating. Burial will be held at the Badger City Cemetery, Badger, MN.

Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the funeral on Wednesday.

David Edsel Bushie was born May 14, 1943 in Caribou Township, Kittson, County, MN the son of Albert and Myrtle (OGorek) Bushie. He attended country school in Caribou Township and also attended school in Badger.

David worked as a cement finisher in many areas of the country. He also built a house in Badger, MN and one in Arizona.

He loved to spend time with the grandkids and was always busy caring about everybody else. David would put the kids and grandkids birthdays on the radio and he always called his kids and grandkids on their birthday. He also loved to hear his grandkids fishing and hunting stories. He had a Rascal scooter he ran all over the place with and David enjoyed visiting with his neighbors and friends at Skylite. In the summer he had to have his tomato plants to take care of.

David was united in marriage to Marion Skogstad in 1985 at Lake Bronson, MN. They lived in Arizona and returned to Thief River Falls in 1996 where they have since resided.

Survivors include his wife, Marion of Thief River Falls; 12 children, Brian, Todd, Pamela, Mark, Tanya, Jenny, Angie, John, Mike, Dawn, Jody, and Jeri; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Iris Jackson of Arizona; and many cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Roy and Bob.
