David Lee Johnson, 34, employee of Dean Foods in Thief River Falls, MN, died on Friday, April 11, 2003 in an automobile accident near St. Hilaire, MN.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, April 15, 2003 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend John Wollenzien officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN.
Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, April 14, 2003 at the Johnson-Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls, MN with a 7:00 P.M. prayer service on Monday evening and at the church one hour prior to services on Tuesday.
David Lee Johnson was born on June 25, 1968 in Bemidji, MN, the son of David A. and Pauline (Shervold) Johnson. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1987. Following High School David attended NDSU in Fargo, ND.
David was employed as Regional Sales-Marketing Retail Manager for Land O Lakes, Dean Foods, of Thief River Falls. He enjoyed his co-workers and became good friends with many of his retail customers throughout the area.
He was a member of the Thief River Falls Country Club.
Daves passion for life and love of people endeared him to his many friends. He enjoyed sharing evenings and weekends at The Acre in Fourtown with them. Daves quick wit, uproarious laugh, and wonderful sense of humor would assure everyone in his company a memorable time.
Daves great love of hockey showed through his involvement in TRFAHA, Old Timers, and the Varsity Program. He served as coach at different levels, most recently as Junior Varsity Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach.
Dave was a loving son to David and Pauline of Thief River Falls, MN; a caring tender brother to Delaine and her husband Dave Solberg of Babbitt, MN; provided fun entertainment for his nephews, Scott and Mike; and he will be greatly missed by many, including his grandmother, Beulah Johnson of Bemidji, MN and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfatherss, Arthur Johnson and Oscar Shervold and his grandmother, Nora Shervold.
