David Marwitz, 51, died Monday, February 5, 2007 at Goodridge, MN.
Funeral service will be 1 PM, Friday, February 9, 2007 at Johnson Funeral Service, Red Lake Falls, MN with Reverend Rick Hensel officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Red Lake Falls, MN.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Johnson Funeral Service, Friday.
David Bernhard Marwitz was born October 17, 1955, in Red Lake Falls, MN, the son of Theodore and Ella (Ulrich) Marwitz. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Red Lake Falls, MN. He graduated in 1975 from Lafayette High School, Red Lake Falls.
He served his country in the United States Army from 1976-1979, stationed in Germany and received an honorable discharge. After his tour of duty, he attended Northland Community College, earning his certification as a welder. David worked throughout the Midwest, for Brownlee and Hayes Construction of Marshall MN. Recently, David lived in Fertile, MN, Elkton, SD and Goodridge, MN where he died.
David enjoyed the challenge of his labor and the friendship of his co-workers. He was greatly loved by his family and will be missed by them.
He is survived by sister, Sandra McFayden, Port Angeles, WA and brother, Willard (Mylla) Marwitz, St. Joseph, MN. Also surviving are aunts, Maye Pamerine, Eva Kopsell, Irene Hince and Mildred Olson in addition to numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
David is preceded in death by his mother, Ella Marwitz in 1981 and father, Theodore Marwitz in 1991; brother, Donald Marwitz in 1971 and 3 infant siblings.
