David Miller, 69, of Viking, MN died on Friday, February 3, 2017 at his residence with his loving family.

The funeral to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 10, 2017 at New Hope Lutheran Church in Newfolden, MN with Pastor Ollie Urdahl officiating. Burial will be at the Viking Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral.  Military honors will be provided by the Otto Knutson American Legion Post 427.

David Duane Miller was born on April 24, 1947 in Winchester, IN the son of Marvin A. and Bertha Pauline (Grow) Miller. He was baptized on April 16, 1958 in Lynn, IN and attended Randolph Southern High School in Lynn, IN on May 27, 1965.

David entered into service with the United States Air Force and served during the Vietnam War.

David settled in the Thief River Falls, MN area and was united in marriage to Elaine Ordahl. To this union a son, Wayne was born in December of 1969.

He worked as a general insurance agent and after moving to the Ordahl farm began farming. David also worked as a federal crop insurance agent.

Along with playing sports in his younger years, David enjoyed watching basketball, football and car racing throughout his life.

In 2011, David met Brenda D. Good and the couple was married on August 8, 2016. They couple made their home near Viking, MN and spent their winters in Coleman, TX.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and National Rifle Association.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda of Viking, MN; son, Wayne Miller of Thief River Falls; Brenda's children, Bryan Good and Tanya Good; brother, Dale Miller; sister, Darlene Miller; niece, Melanie Griffith; and many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Diane Griffith.
