David Myhre of Thief River Falls, MN passed away on December 7, 2021 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Funeral service for David will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, December 17, 2021 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend Jonathan Dodson officiating. Burial will be held later in the spring at Emardville Cemetery near Plummer, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

David Craig Myhre was born on September 22, 1955 son of Sidney and Dorothy (Braaten) Myhre being the youngest of six siblings. He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plummer, MN. He attended Plummer High School.

David was united in marriage to Terry Fjerstad in May of 1977. To this union three children were born Nicole, Eric and Corey.

David worked at Cargill, Mr. Bean & Pea, The Times, Woodmaster and for several farmers throughout the area. David had a very infectious laugh and great sense of humor. Most people would say you could pick his laugh out of a crowd. He enjoyed hunting trips with Eric to Oklee, his philosophical talks with Nicole. He talked about how much he missed his son Corey. David may have faced much adversity, but for those who got to know him, got to see a deeper, soft side. David will be forever in our memory.

David is survived by his children Nicole (Jerrod) Myhre of Fargo, ND, Eric (Bambi) Myhre of Thief River Falls, MN; grandchildren Bradley, Kadin, Brooke, Kale and Aylin; siblings Duane Myhre, Wesley Myhre, Rodney (Charlene) Myhre and his sister Shirley Wheaton.

David is preceded in death by his son Corey, parents Sidney and Dorothy Myhre, sister Audrey Carpenter and brother Larry Myhre.
