Dean was born to Theodore (Ted) and Shirley Booth of Thief River falls, Minnesota May 17, 1964. He was born  prematurely and was baptized at the hospital. He confirmed his Christian faith as a teenager at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls. He was a gracious and generous man and would willingly help out those in need whenever he could. Even after his death his corneas were harvested and two people were given the gift of sight. He found it difficult to ask for help for himself.

Family was important to him and he enjoyed family reunions and other family events. He had childhood friends that he kept all of his life. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1982. He was a good student and enjoyed music and played the violin in the concert orchestra. Later in his life he bought an electric guitar and taught himself to play. After high school he attended and graduated from Northland Community College with an Associates Degree.

In 2002/03 he attended Northwest Technical college in Wadena, MN where he studied telecommunications and made the Dean's list every quarter. He worked a summer job with a phone & cable TV installation crew.

He later moved to Williston, North Dakota where he lived and worked until his death.

He loved to read and had a great sense of humor. At a young age he would read all the jokes in the Reader's Digest. He enjoyed cooking and baking and trying new recipes. He liked spicy food and a bottle of hot sauce was a favorite condiment.

Dean passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at the age of 56 years and five months. He was preceded in death by his father, Ted Booth, brother, Douglas Booth, and infant brother, Roger William Booth.

His brother, Donald Booth, recently died March 5, 2021.

He is survived by his mother, Shirley Booth, sister, Brenda (Ray Tuinstra) Booth, brother Dennis (Sherry) Booth, sister-in-law, Julia Booth and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

The memorial service to celebrate Dean's life will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Rev. Darrel Cory officiating.
