Debra Ann Fournier, of Red Lake Falls, Minnesota, passed away on May 19, 2025, in Red Lake Falls. She was 62 years old.
Memorial service will be on 11 AM Saturday, June 7, 2025,at the Evangelical Free Church, Thief River Falls, MN. Military Honors provided by American Legion Post 117, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2793, and Minnesota National Guard Honor Guard.
Visitation will be on Friday, June 6, 2025, 5 to 7 PM with a prayer service at 6:30 PM at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN.
Burial will follow after the Memorial Service at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery, Terrebonne, MN.
Debra was born on September 30, 1962, in Norfolk, Virginia, to Samuel Roy Fournier and Della Rosealva (LaFave) Fournier. She graduated from Lafayette High School in 1980 and went on to earn several bachelor's degrees. Debra proudly served her country in the United States Army before dedicating her professional life to caring for others as a registered nurse. Most recently, she worked at Sandford Behavioral Health, where her compassion and dedication left a lasting impact.
Beyond her career, Debra embraced life with creativity and joy. She had a deep love for music—playing guitar and singing brought her great happiness. Her weekends were often spent exploring garage sales and auctions in search of hidden treasures. A talented crafter with an entrepreneurial spirit, she recently launched her own organic product business, DebBee&Me.
Debra's greatest pride was her family. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters: Jacquelin Zimmerman of Fargo, ND; Jessica (Adam) Flage of Red Lake Falls, MN; Nicole (Jeremy) Johnson of Red Lake Falls, MN; and ShyAnn (Tyler) Larson of Red Lake Falls, MN. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Gabriel Johnson, Deja Zimmerman, Dylan Shekore, Blake Trangsrud, Briar Flage, Samuel Janiak, Hunter Trangsrud, Oliver Johnson, and Freya Flage.
She is also survived by her siblings: Patrick Fournier of Red Lake Falls, MN; Jack Fournier of Abilene, TX; Jeff Fournier Houston, TX; Ken (Joan) Fournier of Bellevue, NE; David (Jane) Fournier of Fergus Falls, MN; and Sue (Joe) Ness of New Ulm, MN; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Debra was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Della Fournier, and in-laws: Margaret Fournier and Alice Fournier.
