Obituary

Debrah Larson, 57, died Thursday, March 19, 2009 at MeritCare Northwest Campus, Thief River Falls, MN.

Funeral service will be 11 AM, Monday, March 23, 2009 at Zion Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls, MN with Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Viking Cemetery, Viking, MN.

Visitation will be from Sunday from 3-5 at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Monday.

Debrah Marie Larson was born February 29, 1952 in Thief River Falls, MN to Lester and Ella (Holden) Larson. She was born with Downs syndrome. She attended school at the DAC and lived at home with her parents for many years. Debrah loved to travel with her mother and went many places including Norway, Hawaii, and several of the 48 mainland states. She liked music and had a fondness for Elvis. She also liked to bowl, play bingo, and participate in the Special Olympics. After her mothers death in 1999, she became a resident at Johnsons Boarding Home in Thief River Falls. She enjoyed her friends who were just like family at Johnsons. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls and also a member of the Eagles Auxiliary.

Debrah is survived by one brother L. John (Barb) Larson, Thief River Falls, MN, one sister Pat (Russ) Krider, Brazil, IN, one aunt Selma Peters, Thief River Falls, MN, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents.
