Della Martinec of Thief River Falls, MN, 92, died Tuesday February 26, 2013 at Cornerstone Nursing and Rehab Center, Bagley, MN. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Monday, March 4, 2013 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN Burial will be held at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Thief River Falls, MN. Della Eilers was born on December 8, 1920 in Iowa the daughter of Fredrick and Anna (Anton) Eilers. She grew up in Iowa and moved to Thief River Falls, MN. There she met and married John Martinec and they continued to make their home in Thief River Falls. John died in 1962 and Della continued to live in live in her home in Thief River Falls until 2010 when she moved to the Cornerstone Nursing and Rehab Center in Bagley, MN. Della loved her flower and vegetable garden and was a good canner; and Della enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Della was an active member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN. Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
