Delmer Rux, 71, died on Saturday, October 26, 2002 at the CNC unit of the Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls, MN.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, October 30, 2002, at the United Methodist Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Rev. Dan Horn officiating. Burial will follow at the Rux Cemetery, rural Thief River Falls, MN.

Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the church.

Delmer Rolland Rux was born on July 7, 1931 to Walter William Fredrick Rux and Lillie Lottie (Lenz) Rux in Reynolds, North Dakota. He was raised on a farm in ND and moved in his teenage years with his family to a farm west of Thief River Falls, MN. He married Gloria Mae Holt in Thief River Falls on May 11, 1952. They made their home in Thief River Falls. Delmer served in the US Navy from 1952 to 1953. He returned to his wife in Thief River Falls and did work in several places over the years including, painting, cab driving, truck driving, gravel pit, Arctic Cat, and as a custodian at Northland Community and Technical College.

Delmer had several interests including bird feeding and watching, hunting, and fishing. He also enjoyed carpentry work and small engine repair. He was a member of the VFW in Thief River Falls, National Rifle Association, North American Hunting Club, and the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association.

He is survived by his wife Gloria, Thief River Falls, MN; one son Larry Rux, Thief River Falls, MN; two brothers, Clayton (Jean) Rux, Anoka, MN; Franklin (Wendy) Rux, Worcester, Mass; two sisters, Wanda (Clarence) Schroeder, Bemidji, MN; June Olson, Little Fork, MN; two sisters in law, Lillian Rux, Erskine, MN; Donna Rux, Hopkins, MN. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Floyd, Orlie, and Howard, and one brother in law, Cecil Olson.
