Dolores Dolly Miramontes, 82, died on Sunday, January 6, 2008 at Oakland Park Communities in Thief River Falls, MN.

Funeral service will be 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend Mark Helgeland officiating. Burial will be in St. Bernards Catholic Cemetery in Thief River Falls, MN.

Visitation will be from 8:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, prior to the service at the Funeral Home.

Dolores Dolly Ardelle Hellum was born on November 27, 1925 in Tilden Junction, MN, the daughter of John and Clara (Erickson) Hellum. She attended school in Red Lake Falls, MN. On March 19, 1946 Dolly was united in marriage to Bennie Miramontes.

In the early years Dolly and her twin brother Spike picked apples and trained hops in Washington. Later Dolly worked as a cook and waitress at the Dynamite Drive-In and Johnnys Caf and also candled eggs in Thief River Falls, MN. Dollys children were her greatest interest and her hobbies and her life centered around them. She was a devoted mother and wife who truly made the word Homemaker into something special. While her husband worked on the Thief River Falls Police Department, she made her life around six children whom she dearly loved. When the grandchildren came Dolly became their beloved grandma.

She was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Dolly is survived by five children: DaniLe De Miramontes-Johnson of Viking, MN, Vince (Cathy) Miramontes of Thief River Falls, MN, Paul (Jillian Frye) Miramontes of Bagley, MN, Monica (Audencio Lanford) Phelps of Rocky Ford, CO and Anita (Rick) Miramontes-Winkler of Centennial, CO; grandchildren: Chad Johnson of Viking, Shawn (Chris Goddard) Miramontes of Fargo, ND, Jennifer (Brad) Herzberg of Thief River Falls, MN, Vince II Tony (Allison) Miramontes of Thief River Falls, MN, Benjamin Miramontes of Thief River Falls, MN, Jaime Miramontes of Viking, MN, Jessica Miramontes of Lake Forest, IL, Tiasha (Justin Lane) Phelps of Thief River Falls, MN, Shawn Belland II, Alexander Gator Belland, Sarah Ray, and Cody Richardson, all of Centennial, CO; great grandchildren: Skye, Emmie, and Katie Rose Miramontes of Terrell, TX, Ian, Ryan, and Aidan Herzberg of Thief River Falls, MN, Vince Miramontes III of Thief River Falls, MN, and Anessa Lane of Thief River Falls, MN.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bennie Miramontes; one son Monti Miramontes; grandchild: Adam Miramontes; great grandchildren: Adam Lane and triplet sibling; her parents, John and Clara Hellum; siblings: twin brother, Darrell Spike Hellum and sisters: Verna, Vivian, Leona, Murial, and Elaine.
