Delores Roisland of Thief River Falls, MN age 79, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at her residence. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Ebenezer Lutheran Church, rural Oklee, MN. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Monday, June 24, 2013 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will also be held from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM on Tuesday at the church. Delores Alverda Mostrom was born on November 6, 1933 in Pennington County, MN the second of four children born to Leonard and Sabena (Jazdzyk) Mostrom. She was baptized and confirmed at Nazareth Lutheran Church, rural Trail, MN. Delores graduated from Goodridge High School in 1951 and worked in Thief River Falls, MN prior to her marriage. On June 30, 1952, Delores was united in marriage to Marvin Lloyd Roisland at Ebenezer Lutheran Church, rural Oklee, MN. They made their home on the Roisland family farm where they did dairy and grain farming. To this union four children were born Larry, Diane, Steven and Janet. Delores started working at Pamida in August of 1977 after selling off the dairy herd. She worked there for 27 years until her retirement at age 70. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, holidays with family, and in the last couple of years has enjoyed playing cards with her friends at Greenwood Terrace where she resided. Delores was a life-long member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church where she was active with the Ladies Aide and also served on the church council. Survivors include children, Larry (Lynnae) Roisland of Thief River Falls, Diane (Tom) Kolstoe of Oklee, MN and Janet (Greg) Frokjer of Thief River Falls; grandchildren, Michael (Nicole) Kolstoe, Christopher (Nancy) Kolstoe and Pamela Kolstoe; great-grandchildren, Elijah Kolstoe, Lexy Kolstoe, Laurel Kolstoe, Brandon Kolstoe and Sarah Kolstoe; brother, Walter (Verna) Mostrom of Cedar, MN; her late brother, Lloyd's companion, Marian Schroeder; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Roisland in 2011; her son, Steven in 1993; her parents, Leonard and Sabena Mostrom; brothers, Arvey and Lloyd Mostrom; sister-in-law, Rosalie Mostrom; grandparents, John and Mary Jazdzyk, and Alfred and Johanna Mostrom.
