Denise Gagner, 50, died on Sunday, February 14, 2010 in Terrebonne, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 2:00 PM in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, MN with MSGR. Roger Grundhaus Officiating and Father Chuck Huck Con-celebrating. Burial will be held at the St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Terrebonne.

Visitation will start at 12:00 PM on Thursday and run until time of service at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Denise Elaine Fredericks was born December 18, 1959 in Karlstad, MN. Daughter of Verner and Jean (Nelson) Fredericks, she was baptized in Stephen, MN and was confirmed at the Faith Lutheran Church in Mentor. She attended school until her sophomore year in Crookston, MN and graduated from Mentor High School in 1978. She worked at Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine as a nursing assistant.

On April 7, 1979 she was united in marriage to Ronald Gagner at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Terrebonne. The couple moved to Grand Forks, ND where she worked as a nursing assistant in East Grand Forks for a short time. They moved to the Gagner home farm in 1980 where they lived and farmed until 1998 when they moved into Red Lake Falls. She worked for a number of years with the WIC program in Red Lake County. In 2004, Denise attended Northland College and graduated as an LPN. She than began work at the Altru Clinic in Crookston and then Riverview Clinic in Fertile where she was currently employed. In October of 2008 Ron and Denise moved to their beautiful home on Maple Lake, which they built together.

Spending time with family and friends is what Denise loved the most. She enjoyed being at the lake, fishing, and pontoon rides. Denise loved UND Football, reading and traveling. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls and since moving to the lake she has been a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mentor.

Denise is survived by her husband Ron of Mentor, MN, children Danny (Kari) Gagner of East Grand Forks, MN, Jesse (Special Friend Lindsey Fering) Gagner of Terrebonne, and Angie Gagner of Grand Forks, ND. Her parents Vern and Jean Fredericks of Mentor, MN and brothers Don (Shelley) Fredericks of Red Lake Falls, MN, Jim (Melissa) Fredericks of Mentor, MN and sister Jolene McCollum of Fertile, MN along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
