DeDe Ness died peacefully after a long battle with cancer on Saturday, May 31, 2014 in Fargo, ND at the age of 53. A Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 PM, Friday, June 6, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN, with Rev. Sheila Michaels officiating. Interment will be held at the Spruce Valley Cemetery, rural Middle River, MN, at 3:00 PM on Friday, June 6. A Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, June 6, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN. Denise "DeDe" Lynn Graham was born on September 3, 1960 in Waukegan, Illinois the daughter of Dale Keith Graham and Donna Marie (Moe) Graham. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She graduated from Marshall County Central High School in 1978. On October 21, 1978 DeDe was united in marriage to Elwin Ness. In this union two children were born; Kyle Ness and Kayla (Ness) Cichos. Over the years, DeDe's family lived in Middle River, MN, Franklin, IN, and McIntosh, MN. DeDe enjoyed life. She loved to have fun and she adored her family and friends; particularly her grandchildren. DeDe never lost her great sense of humor and had a heart of gold even through her most difficult days. One of DeDe's greatest joys was raising her 2 children and attending their various sporting events. She also loved to bake, shop for good deals, and was always there to help others. DeDe is survived by her children Kyle (Lindsey) Ness of Barnsville, MN, and Kayla (Paul) Cichos of Moorhead, MN; grandchildren Ava Ness, Major Ness, Lauren Cichos, and Claire Cichos; two sisters: Debbie (Jeff) Davidson of Newfolden, MN, and Diane Tiani of Newfolden, MN; one brother: Greg Graham of Warroad, MN; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. DeDe is preceded in death by her parents, materal and paternal grandparents, and infant brother David.
