Dennis Knutson, 54, died on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Rev. John Golv officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will be held from Noon-2 PM on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN. Dennis Dell Knutson was born on November 16, 1957 to Lloyd Romaine and Seleen Laverne (Nissen) Knutson in Thief River Falls, MN. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith at Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN. He attended grade school at Northrup and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1976. He became a father with the birth of his son Cody William Knutson. He worked in the manufacturing industry. He retired in 2008 due to health issues. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, listening to and dealing on the Buy and Sell and Trading Post. He was a member of the American Legion. Dennis is survived by two brothers: Larry (Katey) Knutson, Centuria, WI , Terry (Terri) Knutson of Bagley, MN, two sisters: Yvonne Ekman of Thief River Falls, MN, Arlene Johnson of Fridley, MN, son Cody Knutson, Grand Forks, ND, 10 nieces and nephews, 18 great nieces and nephews, cousins, and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Seleen Knutson, siblings Dale Knutson, Lynn Knutson, and Carol Knutson, two nephews, Shane and Eugene Knutson. He was strong in his opinions but he had a heart of gold.
