Dennis Kuester, 51, of Red Lake Falls, MN died on Saturday, August 12, 2000 at his rural Red Lake Falls Home. Arrangements with the Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls, MN.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2000 at 10:30 AM at Black River Lutheran Church, Polk Center Township, Pennington County near St. Hilaire, MN with Reverend Galen Sylvester Officiating. Burial will be held in the Black River Church Cemetery.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 20, 2000 at 3:00 PM at the Risen Savior Lutheran Church in Manteno, IL with Reverend Paul Crolius.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5 " 8 PM with a 7:00 prayer service at Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls and also one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.

Dennis Paul Kuester was born May 23, 1949 at Watseka, IL son of George and Marlene (Hildenbrand) Kuester. Dennis was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. He grew up in the Bradley, IL area, graduated from the Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School and attended Illinois State University receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Law Enforcement. He worked as a police officer in St. Louis, Missouri for about 10 years then moved to Cable, WI where he was self-employed in a logging business and chimney sweep. He was married to Karen Kent on January 29, 1972. Dennis moved to superior, WI where he worked as a dispatch for Indianhead trucking, then moved to Red Lake Falls, MN where he worked as a Social Worker and Supervisor at the Red Lake County social Service Center. On August 23, 1997 he was united in marriage to Sharon Ann Cassavant at Black River Church near St. Hilaire.
He was active in the Black River Church, also active in many organizations in the area. His main interest was his family he enjoyed yard work, gardening, fishing and hunting.
Dennis is survived by his wife Sharon Kuester of Red Lake Falls, MN, son Dennis Paul Kuester Jr. of Red Lake Falls, MN; parents George and Marlene Kuester of Manteno, IL, step-daughters Paulette Casavan and Fay Struthers, brothers Gary L. Kuester (Mellony) of Niceville, FL and James D. Kuester (Debbie) of Manteno, IL; one sister Marcia A. Eichman (Steve) of Bradley, IL; grandchildren Brenden, Michaela, Wyatt and Joshua Casavan.
He is preceded in death by one nephew Tim Dalton.
