Diane LaCoursiere, 59, died Sunday, May 29, 2005 at First Care Medical Services, Fosston, MN.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Friday, June 3, 2005 at Salem Lutheran Church, Oklee, MN with Reverend Robert Paulson officiating. Burial will be at the Salem Church Cemetery, Oklee.

Visitation will be 5 " 8 PM, Thursday, June 2, 2005 at Johnson Funeral Service, Oklee, MN with a 7 PM prayer service and for one hour prior to services at the church, Friday.

Diane Ray Hegland was born February 28, 1946 in Thief River Falls, MN, the daughter of Gunder and Anna (Lande) Hegland. She was baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church, Oklee, MN. She grew up and attended school in Oklee, graduating in 1964 from Oklee High School.

In 1964, Diane was united in marriage to Charles LaCoursiere at Salem Lutheran Church, Oklee. The couple moved near Seattle, WA late in 1964, to a town called White Center, WA. Charles worked building bridges, while Diane worked for a wigwam store. Together they raised two sons, Rodney and Kelley. The couple returned to St Louis Park, MN for one winter and then to Crystal, MN where they lived for 29 years. Diane worked at Jewelmont Company and later for Curt Carlson Company and retired in 2001 from a drapery company. In 2002, they moved to Oklee, MN and have been busy renovating the LaCoursiere family home south east of Oklee.

Diane was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Oklee and taught Boys Scouts when her sons were active. She loved to sew, shop and she and Charles enjoyed the two winters spent in Texas. She enjoyed going to Mexico and loved her jewelry. She enjoyed her home and the time she spent there.

Survived by husband, Charles, Oklee, MN; sons, Rodney (Kelly), Brooklyn Center, MN and Kelley (Sarah), Albertville, MN; 4 grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Charles, Jack and Jay LaCoursiere; brother, Gene (Wendy) Hegland, Blaine, MN.

Preceded in death by parents, brothers, Ernie, Melford and Burnell Hegland.
