Diane M. Page, 73, of East Grand Forks, MN died peacefully on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Valley Eldercare Center in Grand Forks, ND with her loving family at her side.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, MN with Father Bob Schreiner presiding. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Red Lake Falls, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Diane Margaret Mary Page was born on March 31, 1943 in Crookston, MN the daughter of Florio and Esther (Grandbois) Page. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, MN. Diane attended St. Joseph Catholic School and Lafayette High School both in Red Lake Falls.
Following her school years, Diane worked as a nanny in Grand Forks, ND for several years and Whitey's Restaurant in East Grand Forks for 18 years. After the flood in 1997, Diane went to work as a Foster Grandmother at the Development Achievement Center in East Grand Forks until her health began to fail.
She collected stuffed animals and currently had 160 of them; she loved children and enjoyed her role as an active foster grandparent. Diane knew what she wanted and knew how to get it.
She liked to stay connected, socializing, playing cards & bingo, jigsaw puzzles, listening to bluegrass music, going to the movies and she loved to be taken out to eat. Diane enjoyed Tuesday's with her friends from Town Square attending the Cowboy Church in Twin Valley, MN. She looked forward to all family events as family was most important of all. She loved to share stories and photos of her family. Diane will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
Survivors include siblings, Vernon (Nancy) Page of Farmington, MN, Genevieve (Howard) Hanson of Silver Lake, WA, Lucille Weiss of Red Lake Falls, MN, Dorothy Grover of Longview, WA, Darlene Pollard of Sacramento, CA, Shirley Konikson of Sioux Falls, SD, Larry (Karen) Page of East Grand Forks, MN, Carol (Jack) Bechly of Woodland, WA, Darrell (Linda) Page of East Bethel, MN, Allan (Pam) Page of Red Lake Falls, MN; and many nieces & nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Florio and Esther Page.
