Dianne Mae Hicks, age 71, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Sanford Hospital in Bemidji, MN. Services will be held at 10:30 AM with a visitation one hour prior on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend Troy Bates officiating. Burial will be held at St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery in Thief River Falls, MN in the spring. Dianne Mae Casey was born August 22, 1941 in St. Paul, MN daughter of the late Patrick and Marcella (O'Neill) Casey. She was raised in Thief River Falls and attended Lincoln High School graduating in 1959. She attended nursing school receiving an LPN degree. In 1964 she was united in marriage to Wilson "Bob" Robert Hicks. The couple lived around the world while Bob was in the US Navy. Following his discharge the couple lived in Yakima, WA. She moved the two children to Thief River Falls in 1969 where she raised them. She worked for Glenmore in Crookston and also at Oakland Park in Thief River Falls. She moved to Florida for a time then returned to Thief River Falls where she continued to live until the past year where she was a resident of Crossroads Apartments in Erskine, MN. The couple belonged to a dirt bike club while in WA, she enjoyed arranging flowers, fresh and silk. Dianne loved to entertain and plan parties and also cooking. She is survived by her two children Traci (Jeff) Frey, of Reno, NV; Keith "Rick" (Kim) Hicks of Fairbault, MN; grandchildren Zack, Cassidy, Cody, Hannah, Benjamin and Emma: great-granddaughter Chloe; nieces and nephews Kim Lebahn, Danny Casey, Cathy Maynard and Mike Casey. Dianne is preceded in death by her parents, Brother Dan Casey and sister Donna Fournier.
