Dianne Pederson, 78, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 01, 2019 at the Thief River Care Center in Thief River Falls, MN.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 11, 2019 at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend John Voelker officiating. Following the funeral service, a visitation will take place from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Service. Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls.

Dianne Marilyn Pederson was born September 3, 1941 in Thief River Falls, MN, the daughter of Muriwell and Clarian (Hovland) Pederson.  She was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls, MN and confirmed in her faith there as well.  Dianne attended Knox and Northrup Elementary Schools and attended Lincoln High School all in Thief River Falls.

She worked several jobs including working as a cook at the A&W Drive-In, Thief River Falls and for Thief River Falls School District #564 cleaning until retiring in 2003.

Dianne was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School and Bible School.  She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, visiting with friends and most importantly spending time with her daughter, Charity; grandson, Brandon and family.  She loved visiting with people, no matter where she went.  She had a great love of animals and enjoyed traveling.

She is survived by daughter, Charity (Bill) Bentow, Thief River Falls, MN; a grandson, Brandon Bentow; nieces and nephews, Debbie Dahlen, Thief River Falls, MN, Dale (Betty) Schantzen, St. Hilaire, MN, Nancy (Mitch) Anderson, Thief River Falls, MN, David (Teresa) Schantzen, East Grand Forks, MN, Ricky (Char) Swanson, Thief River Falls, MN, and Gary Dahlen of Thief River Falls, MN.

Dianne was preceded in death by parents; sisters, Donna Schantzen and Janet Swanson; and a brother in infancy; and niece, Pam Schantzen.
