Dolores A. Berg, 84, died Monday, December 11, 2006 at Pioneer Memorial Care Center, Erskine, MN.

Dolores Agnes Jensen was born December 30, 1921 at Mentor, MN, to Jens and Agnes (Larson) Jensen. She graduated from Mentor High School in 1939 and earned a Teachers Certificate from Bemidji State Teachers College, Bemidji, MN. She taught at Sylvan Nook, rural Erskine; Clearbrook, MN; White Earth, MN; Mentor, MN, Moorhead, MN and McCarrans Lake, Roseville, MN.

On June 21, 1947, Dolores was united in marriage to Arnold Berg at Mentor Lutheran Church. She was active in Trinity Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls, MN, where she served as Vacation Bible School director, taught Sunday School and Wednesday release classes. She was on the church board. Served as coordinator for several years in Friendship Bible Coffees in Christian Womens Club. Volunteered for several years at Our Saviours Christian Academy. Was a volunteer at the CNC Unit of Northwestern Medical Center and was on Valley Home Society Board of Directors as secretary for many years.

Her husband, Dr. Arnold Berg died December 7, 1996. Her daughter Rebecca Grayson died March 4, 2004.

She is survived by children: Roselyn Bencivenga, Eagan, MN; Kathleen Berg, Eden Prairie, MN and Arne (Raelene) Berg, Thief River Falls, MN; son-in-law Allen Grayson, Andover, MN; grandchildren are: Sara (Mike) Borchardt, Rachel (Darin) Holman, John (Rachel) Grayson, Libby Grayson, Debby (Marvin) Johnson and Mary (Jacob) Kangas, Jim (Kristin), Virginia, David and Lisa Bencivenga and Adam Berg. Great grandchildren are Alex, Brooke, Jacob and Joseph Borchardt, Kailey Olsen, Kendrah Holman and Rya Kangas. One sister Esther Bock, Seattle, WA. Many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dolores is preceded in death by her husband and daughter, parents, sisters, Blenda Sorbo, Helen Lund and Mila Anderson. Brothers Ted Jensen and Reverend Vernon Jensen.
