Dolores Kujava Newfolden, MN age 86 died on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Karlstad Health Care Center in Karlstad, MN. The Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate the life of Dolores Kujava will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Assumption Catholic Church in Florian, MN with Father George Noel presiding. Burial will follow at the Assumption Catholic Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Assumption Catholic Church in Florian, MN. Visitation will also be held from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM on Thursday with a rosary to be recited at 10:00 AM at Assumption Catholic Church. Dolores Bella Donarski was born December 1, 1927, at home in Wright Township, Marshall County, MN, the daughter of John and Helen (Blazejewski) Donarski. She grew up in the Florian area, attended country school #138 in Wright Township, attended Newfolden High School for a year and then attended and graduated from Argyle High School, class of 1946. Dolores worked at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN as a nurse's aide. She then moved to St. Louis, MO, where she became a babysitter, returning to Minnesota before her marriage. On June 28, 1949, Dolores was united in marriage to Harry D. Kujava at the Alma church. The couple bought a farm in Marsh Grove Township, where they lived all their married lives. She also worked for Arctic Cat on the assembly line and then worked at Northern Pride Turkey plant, Thief River Falls, MN until her retirement in 1999. Dolores was an active member of the Assumption Catholic Church and Assumption Ladies Group in Florian, MN. Dolores enjoyed quilting for graduations, weddings and babies. She is survived by 6 children: Peter, Warroad, MN, Roger, Hawley, MN, Betty (David) Conely, Warren, MN, Daniel (DeEtta), Newfolden, MN, Adele (Todd) Aasen, Hillsboro, ND and Gordon (Colette), Newfolden, MN; 12 grandchildren: Troy, Katie, Thad, Sarina, Trent, Harrison, John, Jacob, Joseph, Teri, Kelli and Alex; great grandchildren: Marissa, Chloe, Mason, Marek, Tage; sisters: Florence (Emil) Kuznia, Stephen, MN and Veronica Knoll, Crookston, MN; and sister-in-law Carol Milchalek. Dolores is preceded in death by husband, Harry in 1998; daughter, Joann in infancy; parents; daughter-in-law, Terrie; sister, Arlid Westberg and brothers, Allan and Louie Donarski.
