Dona Gagner passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Hillcrest Nursing home in Red Lake Falls, MN.

Service of the word will be held on Saturday, January 2. 2021 at 10:00 AM at Johnson Funeral Service Chapel in Red Lake Falls, MN with Father Bob Schriener Officiating. Burial will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery at Terrebonne, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Please wear your mask and practice social distancing.

Dona Rene Gagner was born on November 21, 1919 at Terrebonne, MN son of Louis and Elodia (Bergeron) Gagner. He was raised and attended school in the Terrebonne area. Dona worked on the family farm at a very young age. He moved Milwaukee,WI for a short time and moved into Red Lake Falls where he was employed as a mechanic at Thibert Chevrolet. Following his retirement  from Thibert's in 1980, he served as janitor for the Red Lake Falls Post Office.

Dona had a passion for cars, purchasing a new one every year. He enjoyed gardening and canning. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Dona is survived by several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Elmer Gagner, sisters Pauline Hill, Beatrice Lanford and Laura Jolly.

In Lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Terrebonne Cemetery, St. Joseph Catholic Church, or Hillcrest Senior Living.
